Interfaith Food Shuttle - Volunteer Event

Hi everyone!  We are doing another volunteer event.  This one will be a bit more "exclusive" since we can only accept a small number of volunteers.  This is short event, but we often go to breakfast at the farmers' market afterwards.

We bag veggies, fruits and other donated food into plastic grocery store bags, then we take them to a low income neighborhood in Raleigh and hang them on door handles.

Sometimes we get a chance to talk to those people in need and experience just how appreciative they are!  If you want to join us, please make sure you can commit to the event.  We need 100% participation from those who do sign up.  Thank you!  Please also try to get there around 8:50 am so that we can brief you on what we do.

More information on the organization:  http://www.foodshuttle.org/

Directions:  From Western Blvd:  Turn on Avent Ferry Road, (0.3 miles) turn left on Centennial Campus Parkway at the light, (0.9 miles) turn left onto Blair Drive at the light, (0.2 miles) turn right into the second driveway.  There is a white building set back from the road.  If you get to the stop sign, you have gone too far.  Park in the parking lot, come in the SIDE door, take about 10 steps, second door on right.

I look forward to serving with you!

I wanted to be there so bad but forgot about a 5K run I'm doing with my daughter tomorrow on Durham, bright and early in the morning. Ugh, wish me luck!

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
