Day of Service with Passage Home

This event will involve volunteers from several of Passage Home's partnering organizations.   We will spend the morning and early afternoon sprucing up and doing some painting and repair work at the safety club, its gardens, adjacent properties, and the streets in the surrounding community.   Please wear work clothes that you don't mind getting dirty or stained!    The event will include a cookout for the volunteers, a tour of and information about Passage Home's facilities and, for those interested, a service at neighboring Ship of Zion Church.

Passage Home’s Raleigh Safety Club is located at 513 Branch Street in Raleigh.  On-street parking is available front of and along the side of the building.  Meet in the front entrance between 9:45 and 10 AM.

Passage Home provides a variety of services for individuals, families and communities striving to overcome poverty and homelessness.  The Safety Club provides children with a safe haven after school, as well as a place to get tutoring / homework help and a hot meal.  To learn more about Passage Home, please go to their website at

Really great work happened today in Raleigh! Fun to work along side some children putting in a garden. Dedicated people. Thank you, Kim, for putting this together!

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
