FULL MOON Night Hike

we will be hiking in GWYNNE park. the church has given us permission to use their lot so I am requesting a 3$ donation to join us on this walk..and I will bring the hot apple cider !

Share with me a walk under an almost Full Moon... finding our way by MOONLIGHT only, breathing in crisp air under a starry sky.. our eyes will adjust and we will find our way... the trees almost bare allow her brilliant glow to guide us

This really easy hike is a magical trip through moonlit woods. not just an exercise in fitness, but also a chance to slow down and notice the cooling, quieting world around us..

The two-hour walk over hilly and uneven terrain is a brisk hike, so wear good walking shoes and dress for the weather. Ages 16 and up. No pets Hikes are geared to the slowest member of the group, and are generally led with no specific destination in mind, other than a good place to view the rising moon.

have a headlamp just in case!!!!!!
if you are not comfortable walking without it or if the glow is not bright enough those who want the aid can walk in their own group ahead or behind those who don't.

It was great meeting all of you last night. It was fun stumbling around in the dark with you. I uploaded the pics we took.

I am hoping now I might be able to make it. If it is raining though, we won't be coming. We hike in the cold but not the rain. :-)

My only brother & sibling, Jim, passed away under the Full Cold December Moon. I had to drive in the snow to Southold & Eastern LI Hospital in Greenport. I've been out east for 3 days with no shower, fresh clothes, sleep. All I had was a delapidated love seat & my summer sleeping bag in a cold 1800 farmhouse. My brother had no insurance but as a Viet Nam Vet he's entitled to a military honors funeral at Calverton. I've been working continuously with red tape & govt. instutitions. I averted potter's field, managed to arrange his funeral for Monday, Dec. 23 rd at 10 Am at Calverton. I'm completely exhausted, unable to cry, yet, praying for everything to fall into place now that I've done all that I can to get food for his disabled wife & 2 disabled grown children who all lived with him in poverty. Please send prayers to my family. I WILL meet with you all, one day. The Cold Full Winter Moon shone down on my brother & lit the way for his release into a better world. Linda
