Oracle on Linux/Unix

This session will focus on using your Unix or Linux environment to help the Oracle DBA. Like all of us, we get busy, and often can't spend the time to develop efficiencies in our daily tasks. Using Regis' and RMOUG's own Darl Kuhn's "Linux Recipes for Oracle DBA's" text, we will explore using efficiencies to do things such as:

1. Apply shortcuts using Unix to help our daily activities

2. Scripting to help with database monitoring

3. Writing 'on-the-fly' scripts to handle one-time tasks
