Weekend at VT Lodge/ Sugarbush and Mad River

THE LODGE is one of the most fun places to stay in VT.  Review the discussion board for more info.  This weekend is especially fun as we'll be co-hosting with Rockland Ultimate (frisbee) meetup group for ultimate snow fun.  Planning to ski Sugarbush on Saturday and hope to get a head count by Friday's deadline to buy Sugarbush Quad cards.  Otherwise I will try hard to find everyone discounts, please keep in contact with me.  And please when you RSVP add a comment about your carpooling availability: got a car, don't want to drive, can leave any time after, leaving from town of...

Sunday we can either ski Mad River Glen (MRG), Sugarbush, tour central VT (like the Ben and Jerry factory) or snowshoe-then head home.  As always, plans are tentative based on conditions and any available deals. Of course everyone is always free to do their own thing.  But you can WALK to MRG and ski back! See below for pricing breakdown.

One caveat: If you are not a member You must have been to a meetup or a RMSC meeting where you met either Elyse or Anthonyin order to attend this meetup as our guest.  Club rules state that you must be a member or a guest of a member to stay at the lodge. If you haven't met one of us, come on out to a meetup or come to a meeting on Thursdays (posted here on meetup) so you can join us.

About our lodge:

Our lodge is at the base of Mad River Glen, VT. Walking distance to MRG & if you can ski the trees you can ski up to our back door. It’s 10 minutes from Sugarbush, 2 hrs from Jay Peak, an hour from Stowe, 50 minutes from Bolton, and convenient to many other resorts. The lodge has 10 rooms that sleep 4 people each, each with a private bath. You bring your own linens (pillows & comforters are provided). There is a large living room with a fireplace and downstairs there is a professional kitchen that guests are welcome to use as long as there is no cook. So far there is a cook scheduled for this weekend (Saturday; breakfast & dinner, Sunday Breakfast)*, you are responsible for any other food, usually we bring lunch or buy it at the base.  Sometimes we eat lunch on the lift if we don't want to stop skiing. If the cook is canceled you will be refund the food portion of the price.  BYOB with your name on it if you like to have drinks. More details will follow with a "YES" response"

*you will be refunded the food portion of the rate if there is no cook

About Mad River Glen**  :

MRG is legendary for its tree skiing and challenging terrain and is really a beautiful setting in which to ski. Despite its reputation though, there are plenty of beginner trails from the double lift and from the Birdland lift. If you are an intermediate skier or a daring beginner you can hop on the single chair for some blue trails. It’s really one of my favorite mountains in the east.

**MRG doesn't allow boarders but Sugarbush is right down the road.

Price (this is guest pricing, if you are a full/paid member of RMSC contact me if you want to use PayPal, otherwise you can make your reservation on the hotline):

Price includes:

-2 nights of lodging ($85 for Fri/Sat)

-Breakfast on Saturday, Dinner on Saturday, Breakfast on Sunday

-Paypal fee ($2.85)

If you are a first time lodge attendee I will email you more details with a "Yes" response as far as what to bring, etc.

Please answer the questions after you RSVP, they are really easy ...Thanks.
