Welcome to Rockland County Nature Strollers!




Rockland County Nature Strollers, a group sponsored by the Rockland Audubon Society, was created for families with young children who enjoy learning and playing in nature.

With the goal of helping local families unplug their children and reconnect with nature, Yelena and Olivia, both mothers of toddlers, are inviting parents, grandparents, and caregivers with young children to join them on weekly walks in various Rockland County parks, trails, sanctuaries, and preserves.


Our Mission
• to support parents, grandparents, and others in their role as primary interpreters of nature for their families;
• to provide opportunities for families to enjoy unstructured time outdoors
• to familiarize families with local trails, parks, and preserves so that families may return on their own
• to develop networks among families with a common interest in nature;
• to spread awareness and appreciation for nature and the factors that threaten it in Rockland County.
