I've been wanting to do this for a while, so here it is. :) Most of the $10 fee is going directly to the winner of the event, so the more the merrier.
Contest Rules:
Editing and Submission
* One photograph per RODP meet (that you attended) may be submitted
* A maximum of five photos may be submitted per RODP member
* Submissions must have been taken by the member submitting the image.
* You must be a member of RODP to submit a photo
* You must attend contest event to be eligible to submit a photo
* Photo(s) should be submitted anonymously (ie, don't show everyone 'this is mine!!" then turn it in)
* Must be printed (ie, a hard copy)
* Must be no larger than 8x10
* Any adjustments applied in photo editing software (or similar tools) are allowed (applied to the whole image, or selective parts), with the following exceptions:
ooo Disallowed: Use of any editing tools to duplicate, create, or move major elements of your photograph is not permitted.
ooo Disallowed: Addition of any text to the image
ooo Disallowed: Addition of a border that contains parts of other photographs, clip arts, other artwork or any text.
Subject Matter
* Photo must be taken at a RODP meet that you attended
* Photo must have been taken by you to qualify for submission
Voting
* Photos will each be given a number
* Every member who attends will be given two votes
* Member will put their vote into a bowl, and we will count the votes at the end to find the winner.
Prize
* The winner will be awarded a cash prize. The amount will be determined by the number of people that attend.
IMPORTANT NOTES:
Your photo, once submitted to the RODP contest, may or may not be returned to you at the end of the event in the exact shape that you submitted it in. RODP, its organizers or its members will in no way be held responsible for any damage that may or may not happen to your photo contest entry.
If you RSVP "yes" for this event, and do not cancel/change your RSVP at least 24 hours before the event, and do not show, you will still be responsible for your $10 fee for this event.
If you have attended more than 3 RODP events, and have decided to opt out of this contest because money is just too tight, please Please PLEASE send me a note. I will consider each situation on a case by case basis, but it is likely that I will find a way for you to be there. Participation (to me) is more important than anything else. (Also, I'm a single mom.. trust me when I say, I understand what being broke is! So, no judgment from me, I promise! Also, if this does happen, no one else will know you ever contacted me)
There must be a minimum of 5 "YES" RSVPs or this contest will be canceled due to low participation.
Refunds are not offered for this Meetup.

Amy - fyi - Aug 15 is the Dream Cruise day, not sure if that might be impacting attendance. I'm open to having the prize be "bragging rights" if the cash entry fee is holding anyone back. - Joe
