Royal Oak Photography has teamed up with the Detroit Bus Company to visit and photograph some of the most amazing buildings in Detroit. The tour guide will take us to several of Detroit's most beautiful buildings, where we will spend some time at each building to take photos. This is a private tour for our group (and friends of our group members), and I've explained to them that we want to spend at least a half hour in each building to take photos.

There is room for 42 people on this tour - and family and friends are welcome to join us as well for your same Super Member price.

The cost of this three hour tour is $35 for Regular Members and includes the tour and tips to the driver/tour guide

The Details:

  • What: Guided Bus tour of Detroit's In Use Architectural masterpiece buildings
  • When: May 11
  • Where: We'll meet at Eastern Market (exactly where will be determined and I'll let you know)
  • Why: To photograph some of the best Detroit Art Deco buildings for fun and photography
  • How: Simply pay the fee, and you are in.

I will not put a limit on this until we get close to the 42 member attending mark.

Detroit is home to a collection of architecture that's unsurpassed among the notable American skylines. It's a story of visionary architects and forgotten relics, persisting monuments and modern-day restoration miracles.

We'll take you into the heart of some of the city's most distinctive buildings and the stories behind them.

The Guardian Building

Lobby of the Guardian Building, downtown Detroit

This isn't merely a drive-by tour: will take you up close and personal, inside of some of the legendary buildings that have defined the city's skyline for generations, along with the breathtaking stories of their creation, and their longevity.
