So I was looking at a neat new idea over at Ann Arbor Shutterbugs - and I thought it would be fun for us as well. So I contacted Kiran over at A2 Shutterbugs and asked if we could do this over on the east side, and he gave the A-OK.. so here we go.
What we'll do, is put a 36 roll of color film in a film camera, I'll take a one or two photos, then I'll pass it to the next person in line who's signed up. They will take one or two photos - and so on and so forth through the group. I will provide the SLR film camera and the film. My goal is to have the camera back, and have photos posted by 9/15 at the latest.
If you live far from Royal Oak, please be prepared to travel this way to trade off the camera.
When the last photo has been taken, I'll get the camera back, and I'll develop it all. Then, I'll post all of the photos here for comments and discussion. Also, I'll upload them all to my website for download by everyone that partook in the event, so you'll all get full sized digital files of the film photos. (If you want film copies you can get them for whatever Woodward Camera charges for a 36 roll of film)
In order to attend, you will need to know how to use an SLR camera (if all else fails, there is always Auto ;) ) You will also have to share your address/email and phone number with me - which I will then share with the people who've RSVP'd yes so the person behind you can contact you, and so that you can contact the person in front of you.
I think this is a REALLY great idea, and I want to thank Kiran at A2SBs for letting me run with this idea over on our side of town.
