Henry Ford Museum

Remember everyone, that all photo walks are FREE this year, but that you are required to pay the $10 per year dues to join our events. If you haven't paid your $10, please be sure to do that before this event.

I like to go to the Henry Ford every year, A. because it's warm in February ;) and B. because it's a GREAT place and C. because it's not an EASY place to take a picture.

It's a bit challenging because it's not very bright in many areas, and a challenge makes us better photographers.

It's also just a fun day to hang out, take pictures and socialize while doing it.

February is Black History Month, and The Henry Ford always has great history, facts and live plays to demonstrate.

Amy I might be a few minutes late coming from church and dropping off a fellow choir member. Do we mention the group name or can give them my name maybe? I don't want to "hold up the train"...not that you would lol:)

The Henry Ford is a great place to wander around. Wonderful for unique shots and unusual subjects. Looking forward to it. I'm getting too lazy to carry around a tripod, but make sure if you take one, you have good RUBBER feet. They kind of frown at tripods that scratch the floor. For me....I just crank that ISO!!!
    See you there.

Yes. Rubber feet - though I've never seen them tell someone to put the tripod away. They are pretty great to photographers there.

      January 27, 2014

Neither have I. Tripods are usually no problem. You just have to be aware of the wooden floor, and be careful if there are people around who do not see the tripod. Especially kids. I speak from experience. LOL Otherwise it's a blast. Great people and really old stuff.....actually a lot of stuff I grew up with. Wait.....I'm really old now too.
