Lube Bike Nite

Candid Review of the Quaker Steak & Lube "Bike Nite":

If you live in Rochester and ride, you owe it to yourself to check out the Lube occasionally.  Yes, it is a total pirate-fest.  Mostly a "biker" turnout.  The "loud pipes save lives" and "squid'" groups are represented in full force.  But about 10% of the attendees are guys like us, with no one to impress and a genuine desire to see unique and eclectic rides that are scarcely present and talk bikes.  Expect to witness assclownery like drinking alcohol before riding, silly outfits and general showing off-behaviors.  They usually have a small vendor area and a band.

This will not be a regular weekly event for our group.  And if a beautiful Wed nite pops up, R-SMaT might "announce" last minute a meet-up at this place.

I am going to have to bail out on tonight. I didn't get nearly enough of my final paper written, it's due Friday. So I will have to see everyone next week sometime. Enjoy they show!

Even though the weather was crap all day yesterday, it cleared as I left the gym and even drove home with the sunroof open. If the same thing happens today I'll grab my bike and run over to Lube since it's right around the corner.

With the rainy forecast.....it's doubtful there will be many bikes at the Lube tonight....Jes saying.

Oh, no worries there... it's a rare occasion when I show up at pirate night. Best part of Lube Bike night for me is the bands.... not the expensive beers sold in the parking lot.

70% chance as of right now for tomorrow night. Do they keep these events going if there is rain? Where does everyone go?

The place will be a ghost town if it's wet.

Of course its OK. Have you checked to see how many volts you are getting across the battery terminals with the motorcycle running? If so, whats the meter saying? Around 13v at idle and 14.0v-15.4v revved up a bit is what I'd consider normal. Likely is the VR /rectifier as you say. . I've cooked a few over the years !

Much to my dismay I will not be able to attend. I have to go to Albany for work.... But if I was here you know I'd go.
