Rode a Yamaha XS360 for a while in the late '70's. Took MSF course in Fall 2007, and got my bike (new) in spring 2008. As of fall 2012, now have 68,000 on the beemer's clock.
Just one ... a 2008 BMW R1200GS - "The Beast" does it all!
Commute, fun rides, long days and long trips .... with my tent. Love twisties, dirt and "Seasonal Use" roads. (Hate the slab ... zzz ...) I'm into bikepacking, sometimes with a motor. ;-)
ATGATT - Go to my photo's page to see what can happen when you don't. Actually ... that road rash came from hitting a deer on my BICYCLE @ 40mph ... wearing lycra. Imagine 60mph on a motorbike ... you get the idea.
VERY little group riding experience. Not a fast curve-carver but getting better, slowly. Probably ride slower than most since I frequently ride two-up ... cautious w/the cargo! :-D Really appreciate having lots of cushion around me.
I'm a bicyclist who needed a "tool" to get me to Alaska, since I couldn't get enough time off work to ride my bicycle. So, I got a license, and got a motorcycle. Made it to Alaska! See my blog with links to trip videos at: http://bcmbike.ne....
All winter, right guys? ;-)
