Introduction

Currently the bank and I own a Stingray 230SX. I also do one or two bareboat charters each year.

Where do you go boating?

Mostly Jordan Lake and the Caribbean.

What type of Boat do you own? Sail or Power?

Power - 420 hp to be exact.

Has anyone noticed that their electronic charts show a serious error in locating the western end of Shackleford Banks? When passing between Shackleford and Bird Shoal on a track close to Shackleford, the plotter puts my boat more than several hundred yards to the south - on land. This occurs with both a Navionics chip in a Raymarine C-80 and with BlueCharts in a Garman 276C.

Hi Jim,

It was not insulting to me. I found it to be on target. However, one of the other meet-up attendees thought it was harsh. Gee, you were providing your thoughts and I couldn't agree more with you on the need to dress for the occasion. I do commend the person for asking the question. Enjoy the rest of your week.

Hi Jim,
Apparently the meet up Gods did not like our comments regarding wearing T-shirts to a meet-up. FYI, in case the comments were deleted before you had a chance to read mine, I wanted to let you know I applaud your response and agree anyone attending a social event should put their best foot forward. Save the T-shirts for the Saturday morning walks.
