  • Needs a date

  • Splat Space - Durham's Hackerspace

  • Proposed talk on semantic web programming using Apache Jena. Will cover basics of embedding Jena, using TDB, SPARQL, and touch on some important ontologies and vocabularies - probably at least a bit on Dublin Core, FOAF, and SKOS. Some coverage of reasoning using OWL.

Hi, I am a dev on the iRODS data grid, and we are very interested in integrating semantic metadata, specifically indexing data in the grid to produce discovery mechanisms. Since we're developing a new web tier with 'home pages' for collections and data objects in the grid, I have been kicking around linked data views. Most of this work is for the DataNet Federation Consortium.
