ModUI Overview

RVALUG's Mathew Percival will be talking about ModUI. Matt is a software engineer and Python aficionado who works for the DOD.

Presentation Overview

ModUI is a modular approach to creating fast web-based user interfaces.  It relies on the concept of reusability of discrete modules organized into HTML layouts.  ModUI does not require the knowledge of higher-level templating markup; instead it provides extensibility through custom attributes attached to existing HTML elements and server-side scripting.

In this presentation we'll explore the reasons behind ModUI, how Linux played a significant role, how Open Source made it possible, and where web-based programming is headed in the near future.
