Hi Everyone-
I apologize for blasting everyone's email with this as I am
sure many of you are very happy with your current employment situation but this
is truly a unique opportunity I don't want anyone that may be interested in to
miss.
My Cambridge, MA based client is looking for 2 Senior Level
Engineers. The client has built a platform used by social game developers
allowing for publishing of games to multiple social networks with "Write
Once - Publish Anywhere" capabilities.
Social gaming companies like Zynga and Playdom have been seeing exponential
growth with their success on communities like Facebook, but Facebook only
accounts for about 30% of Social Network traffic and marketing these games on
Facebook is getting harder and harder!
Visibility is one of the major issues that these developers and publishers will
soon face that is briefly outlined by the guys over at TechCrunch here:
The
Past, Present, and Future of Social Gaming
My clients solution assists game developers and publishers in continuing to
increase the visibility, play-ability, and profitability of their games by
providing a way for these organizations to quickly and smoothly bring games to
other high traffic social networks around the world.
The ideal candidate will be very comfortable in an Agile / SCRUM environment
and have expertise with Web 2.0 technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
(specifically Jquery). Although candidates with Ruby and Rails experience are
preferred the client recognizes that they are more interested in hiring
Engineers. This means they are willing to take on candidates with a strong CS
backgrounds and hands on experience building highly scalable web applications
using Python, Java, .NET, or PHP as well. This is a great opportunity for an
Engineer looking to break into the Ruby on Rails community.
The company is also offering equity in the organization. With a leadership team
made up of proven start-up leaders, including members of teams like IGN
Entertainment (now part of Fox Interactive Media), Zoom Info, and Jackpot
Rewards, complimented by others with experience at organizations like
Microsoft, Upromise, and BEA, this equity holds tangible value!
If you would like to hear more please feel free to call me directly @

Happy Holidays-
