Openbay is an online marketplace that transforms how people get their cars repaired and maintained. Openbay increases consumer confidence when making auto repair and maintenance decisions and reduces the total cost of vehicle ownership by having multiple auto repair shops compete for the business. Openbay also provides useful articles to consumers on its blog on how to properly maintain and extend the life of their motor vehicles. Openbay is a privately held and is based in Cambridge, MA.

Working closely with the CTO, youll solve problems, hack on features, and write production code. Youll be a part of an early stage team, taking ownership of your work and assisting with key product decisions. Candidates must have the experience and the skills necessary to help design and build a product platform from the ground up (client/server interaction, APIs, etc).

* Write stable server and client-side code
* Add new features, scale existing code, fix bugs
* Work in a small team with an iterative development process

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience
* Minimum 2 years of Ruby experience in a production environment
* Experience in several areas of a typical Rails stack (Redis, Git, Postgres, Capistrano, etc)
* Confident writing clean JavaScript, HTML & CSS
* Ability to solve problems and make pragmatic engineering decisions
* Must be able to work on-site (at our awesome coworking space) in Cambridge, MA

* Experience working in a fast paced environment
* Familiar with continuous integration and unit/integration/load/performance testing
* Has experience starting or contributing to open source projects
