Book Discussion: "Emotion Code" ~ Year of Letting Go, Raising Your Vibrations

  • Feb 23, 2013 · 3:30 PM
  • Private Location

February 23rd; 3:30pm

Hello High Vibers,

I hope your New Year is unfolding to your liking!

Our first book discussion for our Year of Letting Go is "The Emotion Code" by Dr. Bradley Nelson.

I've heard tremendous accounts from people who have followed his Body Code program and this book.  Melissa Fundanish, one of our members will be reviewing and facilitating this discussion.   It will be held in Chevy Chase DC, within easy walking of Metro on February 23rd at 3:30pm.    Obtain the book soon through your library, or download ~~ you still have more than a month to read it!

In The Emotion Code, renowned holistic physician and lecturer Dr. Bradley Nelson skillfully lays bare the inner workings of the subconscious mind. He reveals how emotionally-charged events from your past can still be haunting you in the form of "trapped emotions"; emotional energies that literally inhabit your body. Dr. Nelson explains clearly and concisely how trapped emotions can create pain, malfunction and eventual disease. In addition, trapped emotions can exert a dramatic effect on how you think, the choices that you make, and how successful you will be. Perhaps the most important discovery that Dr. Nelson has made is that trapped emotional energies will often gather around the heart, creating a "Heart-Wall" that may block you from giving and receiving love freely. The Emotion Code is a powerful and simple way to rid yourself of unseen baggage. Releasing trapped emotions often results in the sudden disappearance of physical problems, self-sabotage, and recurring relationship difficulties. Filled with real-world examples from many years of clinical practice, The Emotion Code is a distinct and authoritative new work that is destined to become an instant classic on self-healing.

I enjoyed the presentations and discussion. It was wonderful of Nicki to provide her home for the meetup, but I would have preferred meeting at a Panera or a similar place so we could get snacks or drinks. I was out of my comfort zone, as I didn't know anyone, but it was ok.

HI Melinda, thanks for all your insights yesterday! we have learned from years of experience that it can be very difficult to secure seating for a large group in a public location. at times when we waited and got to rig up seating, most couldn't hear well due to the noise of the restaurants. usually only a few in the center could hear each other, but those on the ends couldn't hear throughout the session. also remember in the future to feel free to bring any amount of drinks and snacks with you no matter where we are. glad you came! ;D
