Welcome to Raleigh's Number "1" and most successful Couch to 5k Program!

Cost: Pay as you go - $5.00 each class - Weekend group runs are free.
This is a group for anyone interested in learning to run or if you tried in the past and it didn't quite work out for you.
We started this group to help promote running to first time and beginner runners who may have pushed it too hard and found no success or enjoyment from running. By the end of our 8 week program, you should be running a non-stop 5k and then you will be on your way to achieve new goals - maybe even a marathon! Many of our runners have gone on to run 1/2 marathons within six months of finishing our course.
This is an 8 week program and we will begin with a combination of Walking and Running intervals in order to give your body time to develop the key muscles to carry you to 5k with ease and lots of instructions and encouragement!
We will meet 2 times a week for 8 weeks on "Tuesdays and Thursdays" and you will be required to repeat Day 3 running session on your own or get together with the group for a total of 3 workouts a week beginning May 20, 2016 - Please RSVP as early as possible.
Our meeting place will be at the Raleigh Greenway entrance directly behind McDonald's located at 4121 Blue Ridge Road and Crabtree Valley Av in the grassy parking area.
If you are a good runner and have an interest in increasing 5k speed or distance - this group can help you achieve those goals. You may start at the beginning or jump in on week 5 for training.
We hope you are as excited as we are - or 5k success rate is pretty close to 100% of the people who didn't have conflicting schedules!
