Wednesday Evening - Open Practice (Non-Newbie Event)

Hi Everyone,

Lake Wheeler off-water time is now 8pm so it's the return of weekday practice!  Please note, due to limited time schedule, Wednesday is not appropriate time for first time paddlers.  The coaches will not have enough time to review and teach proper technique and form. (Please join the weekend practice).  Anyone who has paddled before are welcomed!

We require at least 10 paddlers to sign up.  Please keep your responses up to date!
Practice is scheduled for 6:15pm.  Please arrive as EARLY as possible to assist with the boat docking.   Expected boat launch: 6:45pm

If you are coming from far distances and undecided about making it, enter a comment to inform the organizers to bring your vest and paddle in the boat.  We will circle around the docks.

Looking forward to some lake time after a long day at work and hope to see everyone out!

WAIVER - if you have not signed one.

I will try hard to be there by 6:15. I have a meeting ending at 5pm and will leave CH then. If somebody can grab a paddle for me that would be great.

Ugh - I just remembered that I'm the guest speaker for the graduate seminar at NCSU Wednesday afternoon, so I'm not 100% sure I'll be done in time (not sure how long these things last, or how long people might be asking questions afterwards). I'll take my paddling gear with me so I can leave directly from NCSU, but I guess only count me as a "maybe" when figuring out if you've got the minimum 8 people!

Looks like the presentation's 3:30-4:30. That sould leave time for me to stick around for an hour or so of "polite chit chat" afterwards, and still make it to the lake! :)

Guys, it's very important that everyone is on time since off water time is so early. Last week it was 7:15 so we need to be in the water by 6:30!
