I'm sorry everyone. I haven't been feeling well last night. Don't think I'll make it

Go to the Check-in table to receive your position number in the parade and your designated assembly location. It is designated by the red star, located near the corner of North Wilmington St and Polk St. (See attached map) • Find out the location where your group needs to coordinate and gather in that location. Keep in mind that Assembly area streets will be closed to traffic at 8:00AM.

Arrival, Parking, and Check-In Instructions: •
Arrive at the Assembly area around 8:00 to 8:30AM. • Only vehicles that are in the parade are allowed in the Assembly area. • Parade participants may be dropped off on Blount St near Polk St or North St. Please move after your drop off to make room for the next arrival. • There are several free parking lots downtown that you can make use of. If you will need to pick up a group after the parade’s completion, you are also welcome to make use of the parking lot on the corner of Lenoir St and McDowell St just south of the Red Hat Amphitheater. • Participating vehicles will be allowed to enter Wilmington St from Peace St. •

So the outfit is the dragon boating t-shirt + jeans?

Karen - if you've got a bright blue shirt similar in color to the team jerseys, that would be great. Otherwise I guess wear green for St. Patrick's :)

Come on Paddlers! we need to represent RDBC to the community, we need more people willing to come out in uniform! I would hope we would have at least 20 people marching.

I wish I could be there for the Saint Patrick Day Parade because it is a wonderful opportunity for exposure to people in Raleigh who have never heard of dragon boating. Unfortunately, I leave on Friday to spend the Summer in Canada but I urge all of you to turn out and support the hardworking core group of paddlers of RDBC.
I have really enjoyed practicing with you all and hope to see you again in the fall.

Your group is confirmed to participate in the 2014 Raleigh St. Patrick’s Day parade. You will need to be at the assembly area and check-in at 8:00 AM. The assembly area and check-in will be at the corner of Wilmington and Peace Streets in downtown Raleigh. Parking of non-parade vehicles is not permitted in the Assembly Area. Parking for transportation vehicles or floats to disassemble at the end of the parade is available at the lot at Lenoir and McDowell Streets.

Please have one member of your group check-in. (SIMONE) Your group will be provided with a numbered place in the line-up and directed where to go.

No throwing of candy, trinkets or anything else is allowed, per your waiver agreement. You may have marchers hand items directly to the crowd as the parade moves along.

Forty Shades of GREEN in 2014!

    Thank you for participating!
