40 Days & 1001 Nights Event

The 40 Days & 1001 Nights event is starting this Wednesday!!!

Belly-Works Dance Academy is sponsoring Tamalyn Dallal (of Seattle) for Lectures, Cultural Documentary showing & a Belly Dance Showcase of Professional dancers. I personally took a class with Tamalyn several years ago, she's the reason I became a belly dance professional and am who I am today. Absolutely inspirational, she gives a glimpse of rich, earthy movements used in muslim cultures and will speak about her experiances living with families and traveling through Muslim nations. She also touches on the Ugyhar's, the Chinese Muslims that are in the news nowadays. There is very little cultural information avavilable on them, yet, her book and film present an entire chapter on them.
