For the Tea Dance, the dress code is described as "Ragtime attire or whites are encouraged and admired but not required". Think summer dresses in whites or pastels, or something with a flowery pattern. 1920s "flapper" style outfits would also be great. Sailor / nautical attire also works (blue jacket or vest for the guys over a regular white dress shirt). But the dress code is just a suggestion -- people often come in simple nice dress shirts and slacks or skirts. We would prefer to avoid jeans and T-shirts. Tea Dance cost is $15 and includes light refreshments.

I am new to the whole MEETUP phenom. Must we bring a partner in order to dance?

    January 23, 2013

It probably depends on the dance, but you definitely don't need a partner for our dances. We encourage everyone to mix and dance with lots of different people and for the most part that is what happens.

Check the Loafers website. They have shag on Wednesdays and I think on Saturdays also.

    Is it primarily couples?

    • Dawn

No - we have a mix of couples and singles at our dances with a large age span.
