All registered participants go on a 3 mile walk (non competitive) with teammates.
These teams, prior to the walk, and event during the walk, get really creative in raising funds to contribute greatly to the programs of the American Cancer Society.

The American Cancer Society focuses on helping people stay well and healthy, provide patients with support to during treatment, conduct research to find cures, and to lead the local community in the fight against cancer.

Please RSVP if you are interested, and if:
- You are available to work from 7am-12pm on Oct 2, Saturday. Proceed to the Volunteer Check in tent at 7am.
- You are physically fit and can stand/walk for 5 hours

Then, please email your complete name, address, phone number and shirt size to [masked] on or before next Tuesday, Sept 28, 2010. GET THE CHANCE TO MEET NEW PEOPLE AND HAVE FUN FOR A CAUSE !

Your involvement with the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer event is as unique and special as the story that motivates you. Each step you take is personal. And each step is helping to save lives. More than a walk, the American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer event describes the progress we’re making together to save lives and create a world with less breast cancer and more birthdays.

Thanks to you, and the many others who participate and donate to the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer event, we are getting closer to a world where breast cancer never steals another year from anyone’s life.

Whether this is your first Making Strides Against Breast Cancer event or your 15th, we hope you'll lend your support to the American Cancer Society.

Good morning! Just a few weeks to go before the Strides event.

Thank you so much for signing up - we are all so excited to have you as part of our team! Will touch base with you all later this week on which areas/committees you can be assigned to. Remember, there are 3 ways on how to help/support this event:
    1) Volunteer to be part of the event implementation team
    2) Participate in the walk by registering a team online and raising funds with your own team
    3) Being a Donor/Sponsor
