GET YOUR REAR IN GEAR 5K Run/Walk Event Volunteers needed

Come out and volunteer for a Get Your Rear in Gear race in Raleigh! You’ll meet great people and have fun while making a difference. Thanks for your interest — without the participation of great volunteers like you, our events would not be possible.

The Get Your Rear in Gear event focuses on raising awareness about colon cancer in communities across the country. They are events designed to unite people, cities and states throughout the USA; to provide support and hope for those who have had their lives affected by our nation’s second leading cause of cancer deaths, and to encourage individuals of all ages to get screened.

How many days before the race will the packet stuff be available and how many need to be assembled? Perhaps we could have an "assembly" evening to ease the pressure for that morning? I would be happy to lead that since I will be in NC the week before the race.

Hi Donna. Yes, its 530am. Its an early morning run so volunteers have to get there earlier than race start time. I will check for messages again later this afternoon just in case you have more questions. Thank you and have a great weekend!

To make sure I understand, volunteers need to show up at 5:30 am, correct? How many hours is the commitment? And like Daphne, what types of jobs are there? Thanks

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
