Hear Hawaiian Ukulele Player Jake Shimabukuro!

Tickets are still available to hear Hawaiian ukulele virtuoso Jake Shimabukuro this Saturday at the Carolina Theatre in Durham! Remaining tickets are $32 (or $27 for PineCone members) and are available through PineCone's box office [masked]), online via, or in person at the Carolina Theatre.

This year alone, Shimabukuro has performed on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Rolling Stone Live, A Prairie Home Companion and CNN's The Next List. His newest album, titled "Grand Ukulele" (October 2012), was produced by Alan Parsons (The Beatles' Abbey Road and Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon), and it incorporates both stand alone solo tracks and beautiful orchestra selections, recorded at the famed RCA studio in Nashville, and a band anchored by drummer Simon Phillips (The Who, Toto).
