Old Skool: Back to the Basics

This is a Google Hangout hosted discussion!!

Are you an old school gamer who knows what Red, White and Blue *really* means or think that Advanced Dungeons & Dragons is the only way to go? Or are you a younger gamer who wants to find out about what all the fuss is about?

Old school gaming is for everyone - another way of roleplaying that is exciting and fun, as long as you take it in the right spirit. Hey, we know the rules are sometimes broken, but who really cares? Just introduce a house rule or two. ;-)

This discussion is for everyone who likes playing the older versions of D&D (up to 2nd Edition) or the great retro-clones out there or for those of us who just have a burning curiosity to know what it is all about.

This is a first in a series of Hangouts centered on old school games and gaming.

This Clinic will be hosted via Google Hangout

I am not seeing these videos archived through RTR's Google Plus account. Where can we access them?

The hangout was running the same time as a James's Labyrinth Lords game. I got the chance to play at the GM fair and the group has all kinds of knowledge about old school games. His G+ community page for the campaign is here http://tinyurl.com/cz6okuh

Apologies, I'd been planning on attending (and looking forward to it)and completely zoned. Doesn't seem like there are many left plays 1st ed.

Two notes: Being my first google hangout, how do I find this one? Also, some tinkering required to get my cam/mic working - working on it

I just RSVP'ed and noted that it's still asking a question about whether I use obsidian portal.

Well, that's weird. My e-mail said this was an obsidian portal gamemastering clinic. Guess not. >_>

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
