Have you joined a game only to be told to "roll up a character and bring it to the first session" ? Does the idea of creating an alternate persona worry you? Is it possible to make a character with interesting traits that isn't a stereotype? You've got questions. I've got answers. Let's see if they match up.
This hands-on workshop will cover the basics of creating a character. Mechanics of character building in a limited number of game systems will be touched upon. (Optimizing mechanics is an advanced subject.) We'll look at stereotypes, cliches and archetypes, as well as back stories.
Bring a pencil, some six-sided dice (d6s) and an open mind. I'll supply the rest!
