D&D Encounters: Storm Over Neverwinter

Please join us at The Gamer’s Armory on Wednesday Nights for D & D Encounters: Storm Over Neverwinter (beginning April 10, 2013 and running through June 5, 2013) from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm.

GMs: Rob Hupf (Table 1), Wendy McLaren (Table 2), Christian Ovsenik (Table 3)

This is an adventure for characters level 3-6.  Storm Over Neverwinter takes place in Neverwinter and can be run as a sequel to Lost Crown of Neverwinter adventure from D&D Encounters Season 6.  Players who bring back their PCs from the other Neverwinter adventure will actually have some additional benefits and bonuses.

D & D Encounters is an exciting, weekly campaign that plays out one epic encounter at a time. Each session only takes 1 - 2 hours to play! You are not required to participate each week to be a part of it so please, feel free to join the group any week you are available to do so!

What to bring with you? You will need a 7 piece set of polyhedral dice for gameplay. You will also need to create and bring your own 3rd level character with you! If you don't have time or don't know how, don't worry, we have some pre-built characters available that you can use! Ask your DM and they will be happy to get you one! If you have access to the D & D Character Builder, you can create your own character there as well!!

Additional GMs are always needed!.

If you are interested, please contact Crystal at [masked].

Looks like I've got another great table full of players. I'm looking forward to being back in Neverwinter.

Hey everyone; books came in today! Yeah! I have e-mailed to all 3 GMs and backup GM so they can be ready for tomorrow night. Looks like we will have a few new Players.....that is great! We will have FREE special d20 dice and a Free to Play Action MMORPG Key Code for the Neverwinter MMORPG for everyone who plays the entire Season so be sure to try to make it each week. I'll give them out at the end of the Season.

For more details on the MMORPG go to www.playneverwinter.com.

    Have a great season!

I've put the question to the person linked in the post ([masked]), but thought I'd double-check here. I have no prior experience in the D&D Encounters organized play series, but I do have a 4E Player's Handbook and the ability to roll a L1 character. Do I need a DCI # (like for the D&D Adventures I saw a Meetup for tonight), any other books/items (aside from dice), or knowledge of how to level up my character to the range for this event (3+, from the description)?

Finally, does anyone have a good summary of what went down in the previous installment (hesitant to Google to avoid spoilers for this Encounter series), or will each DM provide those details as necessary?

Sorry to be so inquisitive, but I figure it's better to be prepared! (I *was* a Boy Scout for exactly 1 meeting in my youth. . . )

Very cool, and thanks for the speedy replies, Wendy! I actually do have a DCI # from my old competitive Magic days (and by days, I mean two drafts I got last place in a year ago, haha), so at least there's that. Looking forward to seeing everyone there, especially since I've got a vacation pre-planned for the weekend of the GM Fair :(

Randy, if you have any other questions, please let us know; we have a great group of Players who are always willing to lend a helping hand!

Also, for those new to Encounters: Rob and I usually have minis that people can borrow for use as their PC, if they don't have one of their own.

Looking forward to the finale :) Do we bring our characters as level 2 or level 3?

      April 8, 2013

    • ~Robert H.

Pete, bring your level 3 PC for Rob's Finale of the Season: Against the Cult of Chaos. For new season, we will discuss what level you will need for the PCs for Storm Over NeverWinter.

@Wendy, Who are your +2's? Also we have a young man who was playing at Jim's table that might be looking for a new GM & Table to play at for this season. He is not old enough to join Meetup but is a very good customer/player of Gamer's Armory = Kenan. I think he might enjoy your table and you will enjoy him. He was mentored/helped by Liz aka Meatloaf. I think he has learned more about Role-Playing playing at Jim's table and his players. Keep an eye out for him or we can see if Christian might be a good fit or not.

I'm saving spots for Rose & Henry. I've heard many great things about Kenan and he's welcome at my table any time.

Just to second, I play with Kenan Tue nights and I think he's a great asset to any party.

@Crystal, You got me down as a D&D 4e DM, right? Who else do we have? I bought the NeverWinter SourceBook it can help out a fellow DM with Background & History and can help out a Player build their PC, it has Character Themes that can help add flavor to their PC and the Game.

I put Crystal down as place-holder for Christian.
