Tales of the Crimson Boar 2013

The Crimson Boar Inn, a shared setting for swords and sorcery gaming, is the result of a collaborative effort by game masters, players, designers, and writers who are members of Raleigh Tabletop RPGs. Everything about this setting, from the map and layout to the characters you will encounter in your time spent there, was conceptualized by RTR members as part of a massive crowd sourcing project in 2011.

To reserve a spot at any table with openings, please indicate which table you'd like to play at either in the response questions under the RSVP panel OR in a comment at the bottom of this page. An RTR organizer will then add you to the requested table!

Had a great time. Not sure if want to sign the Room 209 playtest document, as I have questions about it. Would still like a copy of the Fiasco ruleset, when you get the chance, Melissa. :-)

Jonn, that's correct, we're undergoing some major revisions and aiming to open full playtesting again in the fall or winter. There was an NDA for the Alpha playtests you participated in in late 2012, but we lifted that earlier this year. Christian, the Playtest Agreement remains on the website for archival purposes only.

Just a quick shout out to both of my awesome groups of players who did a fabulous job of running their PCs! Thanks for playing, guys.

Had a great time meeting new people. Richard ran games that were atmospheric yet distinct from each other, and kept things moving. Hope to see y'all again soon!

I knew there was a reason I was stickin' around this group! Thanks to everyone who made this a special event, and especially to Crystal, Scott, and our organizers.

I didn't nail any dragons, but had fun playing Beef as Forrest Gump.

This was a great event! I was able to meet many new faces and even jumped into a game of FIASCO at Melissa's table. Very fun indeed!! Can't wait for the next themed event!

I had a great table to run my game and in second session I really enjoyed the group of players, too!

I thoroughly enjoyed both games of FIASCO. It's so refreshing to enjoy great improv with enthusiastic roleplayers.

Another incredible event. Thanks to everyone for making it such a success. My players gave me a lot to work with and I had fun tormenting them.

Are characters provided for the pathfinder games?

As a true grognard friend of mine says:

      3d6. In order.

Not saying that's what Richard will decide to do, but I'm prepared for it. :)

    • Richard M.

Tempting... but I may just be nice and let you arrange as desired. =]

    Jonathan,

Would it be too late to sign on for your PF game in the morning session? Just realized this weekend coincide's with my SO's trip to Chicago, so it appears I have nothing to do tomorrow aside from game :)

    July 19, 2013

    • Jonathan G.

Not too late at all! Would be very glad for you to join us. Thanks for your interest in playing!

I'm interested in "Chains Of The Blessed: A Tale Of Shadowsfall" and
"Dark Days In Welldale". Since the latter is full, I'm willing to be marked as an alternate. I'll bring both the S&W Core Rules and the Complete Rulebook for better preparation. :)

    July 19, 2013

    • Richard M.

I'll take one extra for Welldale!

ALL ATTENDEES: If possible, please arrive at the Gamer's Armory no later than 12:00 noon. Games will still begin at 12:30, but the extra half hour gives us time to finish up registration and make some (very brief) announcements prior to the start of Session One so as to ensure that we are not infringing upon the GMs' table time!

@Everyone signed up the first session Savage Worlds game -- Michael has to fold this table due to an unforeseen work commitment. You'll need to pick an alternate game for this session. Apologies!

Obsidian Portal seems to distort the images when they are opened in the OP map application, but not to worry--you can see proper versions of all of the maps right here on Meetup.com: http://www.meetup.com...

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
