Legacy of the Crystal Shard is an adventure for character levels 1-3 set in the fan-favorite Icewind Dale region of the Forgotten Realms.  Players must face an evil that was once defeated but has risen again to threaten the Ten Towns. The adventure is authored by popular writers and designers R.A. Salvatore, James Wyatt, and Jeff Ludwig.  The adventure can be played using rules for 3rd Edition (v.3.5), 4th Edition, and the D&D Next playtest via downloadable monsters and NPC stats.

The fun starts with a special Launch Weekend Event on Saturday, November 16, 2013 and continues for 13 weeks as players delve into the adventure.  Players will defeat enemies, solve puzzles, and perform heroic deeds.

Legacy of the Crystal Shard is the second adventure of the Sundering (a year long event), a major story event in the Forgotten Realms.  Players will report their results for this D&D Encounters Season, through a custom designed Facebook app and the actions and choices made can impact the Realms forever!

D & D Encounters is an exciting, weekly program that brings players together to experience a D&D campaign that plays out one epic encounter at a time. Players will defeat enemies, solve puzzles, and perform heroic deeds!  Each session only takes 1 - 2 hours to play! You are not required to participate each week to be a part of it so please, feel free to join the group any week you are available to do so!

What to bring with you? You will need a 7 piece set of polyhedral dice for gameplay. You will also need to create and bring your own 1st – 3rd level character with you! If you don't have time or don't know how, don't worry, we have some pre-built characters available that you can use! Ask your DM and they will be happy to get you one! If you have access to the D & D Character Builder, you can create your own character there as well!!

Additional GMs are always needed!.   If you are interested, please contact Crystal at [masked].

I am making an eleven rogue with a little winter background to fit into the story. You can see if you like him or not. I will place you at my table.

Usually prefer an elvish ranger-type, strengths in bows/daggers, locks/traps, neutral/chaotic neutral. Backgrounds vary depending on my mood when rolling him up. I'll play anything that fits the group though. Just hoping to meet some peeps and have a good time.

@Jonn Perry, Do you think a Rogue might work a little better with his above write-up? (Just asking for some help, Rob H)

Either can work. Depending in which is higher priority, combat or skills. Ranger for combat and rogue for skills

You can sign up/join the Wizard of the Coast website but it does cost money to have access to the Character Builder. If you want one of us to create a PC for you let us know what Class/Role/Race/Gender/Concept/Background you might want to try out. You might want to stay away from a Wizard until you played a game or two, they are more complex. Roles are Defender, Striker, Controller, Leader/Healer.
