Tarzan and Jane Book Club

This is a book club for singles (40s,50s,60s), with emphasis on learning about relationships.  Books that we have read in the past touched on love languages, loving yourself, dating, marriage, gender differences, and difficult relationships.  If you are suddenly single and wanting to know how to meet others or just want to know how you can have healthy relationships, then this group may meet your needs.  It is an open discussion of issues with both genders.  Attendees are welcome to participate or just listen without sharing.

We will be meeting once a month on the first Thursday,  evenings from 7:30 to 9 pm at our home in Raleigh (Susan and Daryl).  Our first meeting of the new year will be on January 3rd.   I have a compilation of notes from the books we have previously read. I will need to email those notes to you so please send me your email address. It is not absolutely necessary to have read the chapter we will cover but it helps. I will have extra copies for those who are not able to print off a copy. You are welcome to attend even if you never attended in the past.  New members are always welcome.

Please RSVP to Daryl Bowman at [masked] or[masked] mobile.

We will meet Thursday evening May 2nd at 7:30 in our home 3308 Blue Ridge Road. This month we will talk about communicating. There are 14 rules for communicating as defined by Dr.Guy Grenier , the author of the book 'Ten Conversations You Must Have Before Getting Married'. We will talk about 'love letters', 'gender differences', 'reading people'. Last we will cover the 5 love languages as promoted by Gary Chapman. We end discussing real stories dealing with communication.
I have notes that I can email to you. Just contact me at [masked]

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
