Tarzan and Jane Book Club

This is a book club for singles (40s,50s,60s), with emphasis on learning about relationships. Books that we have read in the past touched on love languages, loving yourself, dating, marriage, gender differences, and difficult relationships. If you are suddenly single and wanting to know how to meet others or just want to know how you can have healthy relationships, then this group may meet your needs. It is an open discussion of issues with both genders. Attendees are welcome to participate or just listen without sharing.

We will be meeting once a month on the first Thursday, evenings from 7:30 to 9 pm at our home in Raleigh (Susan and Daryl). Our first meeting of the new year will be on January 3rd. I have a compilation of notes from the books we have previously read. I will need to email those notes to you so please send me your email address. It is not absolutely necessary to have read the chapter we will cover but it helps. I will have extra copies for those who are not able to print off a copy. You are welcome to attend even if you never attended in the past. New members are always welcome.

Please RSVP to Daryl Bowman at [masked] or[masked] mobile.

We had a great discussion of our emotional baggage and especially the stories of folks with emotional baggage. Most of us saw ourselves in the description of baggage and hopefully became aware that they exist and hopefully not them interfere with our jobs and relationships.

Do we have a need to be right, or a need to feel superior, or a fear of rejection, or a need to create drama, or do we cherish rage? All of these are passions that will interfere with our relationships making us less likely for promotion, to love and marry happily, and more prone to illness. We will discuss these passions and how they are manifested and review stories of individuals whose lives were negatively impacted by their passions.

Have finally learned that one does not have to be right because simply stated, there is no right and wrong. Also do not have to know everything 0r even anything.
