This is the same group that used to meet as part of the Raleigh Women's Social Meetup Group.  All we've done is move it to its own web page.  We meet in a small venue so each monthly meeting is limited to 14 members.  All of the current members are interesting women who are committed to attending our group on a regular basis.   Most of us are over 40.

We are informal, but do a pretty good job of sticking to the book with our discussion.  Every few months we'll select the next 3 or 4 books at one of our regular meetings.

I think we all agree that one of the benefits of a book group like ours is reading good, discussible books that we might not ordinarily read if left to our own devices.  For example, I personally LOVE mysteries and detective stories, but they are usually not good food for discussion. So we read mostly literary fiction and memoirs. There is a Reading List in our Files section where you can see everything the group has read so far along with a few of our future possibilities.
