Did you know that it's actually good for your health to have a strong network of friends? Whether you are busy with a career, retired or recently relocated to the area, it can be hard to meet new friends. We are women in our late 30s to mid-60s from all backgrounds, who know how important it is to have some fun once in a while and build some friendships in the process. Maybe we'll meet for lunch or dinner, go to a museum or a show, go see a "chick flick", or just hang out for coffee/tea/cocktails and gab. Or what about our book group or beading bee? With a strong group of girlfriends, we can do just about anything!!!
Let’s get together and help out a great program called The Flower Shuttle
The concept of The Flower Shuttle is similar to food recycling programs, except it involves gathering flowers from community events, galas, weddings, funerals and from area merchants. These donated flowers are then rearranged into small containers and then delivered to people living with sickness, terminal illness, poverty and disability. Read more
