I write the Coop Builder column for Chickens magazine and I'm a carpenter and designer and will be hosting a workshop at my place in downtown Durham about designing and building coops and runs that are low-maintenance and look decent. The workshop will be useful not just for those building their own coop , but also those who are hiring someone and want to know what to ask for or are buying a finished coop. People can also bring their own sketches for feedback. Will also be addressing ways to set up watering, feeding and other activities to reduce hassle and expense. I'm aiming for a Sat. afternoon in March and will post when the date and cost have been set. take care, Frank Hyman
