Becoming a Better Speaker - Quickly!

One of the best ways to gain new clients and grow your business is to be seen as an expert—the fastest way to do this is by becoming a speaker and sharing what you know with others.

When you speak to groups, teach classes and present yourself as an authority on your topic— people psychologically view you as an expert. They remember you and, more importantly, will want to do business with you.

Beyond the great benefits of the “authority” factor that is created…

People who possess communication skills have a distinct competitive advantage over those who don’t. Your speaking skills can make or break your success.

Possessing effective speaking skills will:

• Fast-track your career
• Help you capture more sales
• Increase your earning potential
• Help you present with authority and confidence
• Enhance your personal brand and marketability
• Help you network more effectively
• Make stronger first impressions
• Help you grow your business

If you have been feeling nudged that “this is the year” you need to step-out and finally do it… yet you don’t quite feel prepared— this is your opportunity.

Take that bold first step to become a better speaker in 2010!

Alan Hoffler is an expert in transforming fearful, apprehensive speakers into persuasive, confident speakers. He is excited to come and share a few tips and tricks that can make us better, confident speakers.

Alan believes anyone can become a good speaker with the right knowledge, tools and techniques —and that it should only take days to accomplish this… not years.

Come prepared to be changed by this presentation. It will be interactive and hands on. You will not just be listening, but participating. You will never view public speakers the same again.

And… One lucky person is going to walk away with a FREE spot in an upcoming 2 day “Powerful, Persuasive Speaker Workshop” (Date of their choice).

About Alan Hoffler

His passion is to see each of his students become successful speakers who confidently accomplish all they have set out to do and more.

I enjoyed this presentation! It's hard to view speakers the same once you are aware of the no-no's. Worse--when you know you are doing the no-no's! Alan is a great teacher!

This was a fantastic presentation and I was only sorry that I had to leave early because of family prior engagement and emergencies. I took a lot of really good information and I hope to hear him again in the future. I definitely am excited about future group meetups!

It was great how this workshop made networking so effortless by promoting team exercises and interaction. That was good planning on Alan's part, and I enjoyed it. The marketing slogan exercise to describe your business in 8 words, then 4 words, then 2 words was really fun and the results were so interesting. I got CrossComm's marketing slogan down to "Websites, Better." I have your attention, don't I? Contact me to find out more, and I can give you as long a version as you want.

Shorter, slower, simpler...I was pleasantly suprised that this was a workshop and not just a talk. The interactive exercises were very enlightening plus they got the blood going!

Allen gave a good presentation and he engaged the participants well. I liked the exercise of distilling our value proposition into very few words. However, I thought limiting our small group interactions on what we do to just two words was not a productive exercise. If he had used the eight-word description for the exercise, I think it would have worked much better. Probably a little bit too much direct pushing for business. I think it was very helpful when he charged everybody to go meet four new people and ask them what they do. Overall, it was a worthwhile experience.

Started a bit slow but I received one item of value. Unsure it was worth the 2 hour investment.
  • Rick Caron
Good content. Especially liked the interaction exercises and member participation.
  • Denise Whitley
Excellent presentation delivered by Alan Hoffler. Left the session with lots of tips; now I just need to apply them in my presentations. Or, at least hope to.
  • Linda G.
Excellent. Proof was in the pudding. Alan exhibited the lesson while teaching. It was fun, interesting, and a great learning experience.
