Pedestrian. ;) I haven't climbed outside, just learning the nuances of belaying. Definitely back to basics and beginner class. As a former Coast Guardsman, I'm a safety and preparedness nut -- ask me to shut the heck up when I've talked too much. ;)
Like to climb for agility, strength and flexibility. Lofty goal, I know, but we'll see. I like what it does to my finger dexterity not to mention confidence and sense of personal accomplishment. I like the people I've met on the wall, too.
I think I followed Hua-Ying over from Hungry Hikers & Bikers, or Indie Film. Yeah, we like climbing around on foreign films.
Used to "Treadwall" daily at a gym, and miss it. Got pretty good and speedy. Before that, I used to clamber around USCG jets. Long out of practice, classify me as BEGINNER, but motivated and equipped. I'm also certifying for belay (TRC, VECC next).
I've been out of climbing of most any sort for > 10 years, but Jason and Tushar and Kristine and Hua-Ying are making me very welcome and eager to relearn what I've forgotten. Great meetup!
