Dr. Prystupa is a research scientist with particular expertise in spectroscopy: the interaction of electromagnetic radiation with molecules. This core competence has led to project that include molecular engineering of food products, measurement of ordering in halo-alkanes, identification for fungi and bacteria by spectral imaging, quality of cereal grains and meats, wastewater treatment, solar heated buildings, biomass crops and machine design.
Dr. Prystupa has expertise in spectroscopy and crystallography. He also develops programs in C++ for instrument operation, data manipulation and pattern recognition.
1. Removal of Fusarium from wheat. A portable pilot plant will be operated from Sept. 2012 to Dec 2013. A US patent issued on the process and global patents are pending. 2. Detection of contamination on meat. A US patent is pending and I am working with a joint venture partner. 3. Rapid detection of bacteria. A US patent is pending. Further development is planned in 2013 with partners in MB and SK.
Networking opportunities to find and evaluate potential business partners.
