Dancing at Baker Street!

Let's get our groove on again to the tunes of the Six Million Dollar Band.  This always popular band is playing at the ever-popular Baker St - DTC.  This venue gets VERY crowded and does not take reservations (although I have once again submitted an inquiry to see what I can finagle!)  We will be there at 7pm and will start staking out some space in either the back room or on the patio.  If anyone wants to get there earlier, we would welcome the help in getting some tables.  Music and dancing starts about 9pm.  They also have a full menu with awesome Happy Hour drink specials until 9pm (we are talking $2.25-$2.75 for wine, wells, and an assorment of beers!)

Put on a smile and your dancing shoes and will see you there!

The Six Million Dollar Band (6MDB) is "The Ultimate 80's Experience," delivering high-energy 80s New Wave music using a combination of new and old technology.  Five keyboards complement the guitar, drum and bass rhythm section, producing the classic sounds 80s fans love to hear.  Vintage 80s synths deliver album-perfect sound.  Tears for Fears, Duran Duran, Simple Minds, Depeche Mode and more are recreated faithfully and performed with the same energy as the original acts.

This was a great time for my.first meetup with this group. Thanks, Michelle, for being a gracious host and introducing me around. Can't wait for the toga party! Hope the dry cleaner gets the toga done in time...

We will have a couple of green helium balloons and we will be trying to stake out our space in either the back bar area or on the patio. I will let the hostess up front know where our group is. See ya all tonight!

I've been in groups that do balloons, too. Or even if someone could tell the host/hostess that the meetup is on the patio or in the back room. Whatever. Thanks for your suggestions, George. So if you see me wandering aimlessly please feel free to step in and help me! LOL!

The organizers put green balloons at our tables at The Proof. It was really helpful!!

Cherie, like you, I'm new. What I do in this situation is look for a good size group and ask if it is a meetup. You'll get some funny looks, but ultimately it works.

How will we know the group? I'm new so I won't recognize any faces...

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
