Welcome to Random Readers! We are a diverse group that reads books from different genres. We meet the 4th Tuesday of every month. The purpose of this book club is to read outside of your comfort zone. If you love books, and you're ready to discuss them... you're in the right place!
Ground Rules for Discussions:
1. You may find that you disagree with something that another member of the group has said. It is okay to disagree!
2. Inappropriate behavior and/or language will not be tolerated.
3. Please respect the authority of the moderator.
4. Keep on topic, but feel free to introduce information that is relevant to the discussion (historical facts, bio details, book background, related authors or topics).
5. If you cite copyrighted material, please appropriately reference your source(s). Also, please don't inappropriately post or distribute copyrighted material.
Monthly How the Books Are Chosen:
All of our books are drawn randomly from a hat at each monthly meeting. To be able to add your name to the hat, you must have attended the meeting.
Fee/Charge: $5 to cover the website fee and venue.
RSVP's:
I do ask that if you cannot come to the meeting that you reflect that in your RSVP status. Depending on the group size, we change venues within blocks each other. We have a 3 strikes and your out policy - if you RSVP yes to attend and you are a No-Show for 3 meetings then you will be removed from the group. I understand we all get busy and forget which is why reminders are sent prior to upcoming meetings. An accurate count of people is important so, we know which venue we need to reserve which requires advance notice.
Waitlist - if you are on the waitlist, please note that you are automatically RSVP'd Yes when a spot becomes available and you are sent an email letting you know. If your plans change, then make sure to change your RSVP. If you are still on the waitlist the day before the meeting - please email me if you want to come. We will always make room for you! Notifications, Contact information:
Make sure you check your email address and update your information on meetup.com. I have had several members emails get rejected. You can also control how frequent you receive emails along with all often notifications are sent to you. Just go to your account settings and make adjustments accordingly.

Reminders:
Reminders are sent to people who have RSVP's yes or have not RSVP's at all 7 days prior to the next meeting and everyone receives a reminder 1 day before. If you are receiving these reminders, check your account settings and ensure that everything is correct.
