Holiday Cards for Courage @ Highlands Ranch Archiver's!!

Time to show all of our love for those children at the Childrens Hospital and the vets at the VA Hospital/Denver!

What We Do:
Cards For Courage supports children with terminal illnesses and vets who are recuperating at the VA Hospital by sending them encouraging letters or cards. We won't be sending them to specific children/vets (unless you know a child/vet that's there), so come prepared to create cards for boys and girls of varying interests, and vets who have proudly served our country!

We now have a contact person to whom we will send cards for our vets who are recuperating at the VA Hospital right here in Denver!

"But I'm Not An Artist!"
Doesn't matter - come anyway! It really isn't about the artistry, it's about the compassion and the way you reach out to touch another human's soul through your card/letter. You don't need to be Van Gogh to show a child/vet just how much you care.

What to Bring
It would be very helpful if you brought some supplies.  Some ideas are: stickers, paper (colored or white), blank cards, pens, markers, stamps, etc... (anything you have and can share with others to use on the cards). Probably the best thing you could bring is stickers, stencils, rubber stamps/pads, ribbon, small buttons, blank cards, card stock, etc. if you're looking for ideas.  Even magazine cutouts can be used to make great greeting cards!

Who Can Come?
Anyone and everyone. Feel free to bring friends, coworkers, and anyone else that would like to attend. This is an all-ages and two hour drop-in-when-you-can event.

Thank you so much for your support of Cards for Courage!  We couldn't do this without you!

It was fun! It might be helpful in the future to have some examples of what the cards can/can't say.

Hi everyone, I was looking forward to meeting up today and making some cool Cards for Courage, but I didn't realize I was double booked until now. My apologies for the late change. I look forward to the next event. Have a great time!

HI, this one is going to happen. I thought I cancelled the last event weeks before, there was some glitch in the website, sorry about that.

Thanks for putting this together. Will you be contacting the group if this one get's cancelled? I was signed up for the one in Westminster last weekend and then it was cancelled without any notification.
