MLK Marade - Musical Improv Dance Celebration Walk

Let's celebrate
Dr. King's birthday

in the Marade !!

 Let's celebrate
Dr. King's economics of compassion

with musical improv dancing
in the Marade
 !!

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. said this about compassion:

"True compassion is more than flinging a coin to a beggar...it comes to see that an edifice which produces beggars needs restructuring."

The one word that several people have picked to represent what we hope will grow in 2012 is "Compassion".  Gabby, a nurse who trains other nurses in Cambodia for 6 months out of every year, told me that the antidote to pain is compassion.

Let's dance our way into our best creative vision of restructuring for an "Economics of Compassion"!   TTWalks is collaborating with the Improv Comedians and the Random Acts of Kindness Meetup groups.

The annual schedule for the Marade is as follows:  From 10:00 - 10:45 AM there will be a program staged in front of the MLK statue. The 27th annual Marade walk begins about 10:45 AM down Colfax from City Park to Civic Park (Colfax and Broadway). At the Civic Center there is a uplifting program that begins about 12:00 Noon. If you have questions about how to find us in the Marade, please give Fran a call at (303)[masked] (H), or (720)[masked] (C), or email her at [masked].

 TTWalks Message Board invitation
for you to write about the
Economics of Compassion
throughout 2012 for 2013 Marade!

Throughout 2012, even just appreciating the thought of the "Economics of Compassion" will help us all move compassionately toward a better future.  If you'd like to grow beyond just this thought, please feel free to write your comments about this thought on our Message Board topic "What's your vision for the Economics of Compassion?"  As an example on this Message Board, I started with my question and comment asking "Could affordable compassion include a J-Card that helps individuals create jobs for each other?"  Please pass this key Message Board question on to your friends through texting, email and/or Twitter.  The TinyURL address for this key question is tinyurl.com/JCDCard, or you could use the preview version of preview.tinyurl.com/JCDCard.

Throughout 2012, please feel free to add your favorite humorous and serious quotes about compassion on our Message Board topic  "List of Quotes about the "Economics of Compassion".  This thread of quotes starts with the humorously popularized number "42" which was made famous by the science fiction comedy "Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" as the number answer to the ultimate answer to the ultimate question of life the universe and everything.  But then they discovered, they didn't know the question.  Could the question be:

How can we grow a compassionate economy?

Who knows?  Let's dance, and celebrate each historic step we've taken together with Dr. King that has brought us all closer to an "Economics of Compassion".

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
