Dr. Andy Thomson delivers an enlightening talk on the hot topic of human morality. How do we decide what's moral? He starts his lecture with the disaster in New Orleans in 2005, and talks about the moral reasoning exhibited by people under terrible duress. He also addresses the question of whether it can be shown that there is some Darwinian advantage to the moral law. Francis Collins has used morality as a reason for believing in god. Does the presence of morality in humans prove and require a god?
Our morals guide many of our everyday decisions as well as the biggest decisions. If you have discarded the dogma of religion, how do you arrive at your own moral code?
Show up and debate Morality!
