Announcing a new Meetup for Rationalist Society of Saint Louis!

What: Bart Ehrman - Live In St. Louis - An Historical Approach To The New Testament

When: Friday, April 23,[masked]:00 PM

St. Peter's Episcopal Church
110 North Warson Road intersection of Warson and Ladue
St. Louis, MO 63124

A local Episcopalian church will be presenting a set of lectures done by Bart Ehrman, live and in person, here in St. Louis. Bart D. Ehrman, PdD, James A Gray Distinguished Professor, Department of Religious Studies, University Of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, is an agnostic and a biblical scholar. He is the author of many books on biblical history, and only came to agnosticism in mid-life; before that he was a conservative christian. Presumably, Dr. Ehrman will be telling the truth about the origins of the bible, so I'm not sure why an Episcapalian church is coughing up for this lecture series, but I'm sure glad they are!

St. Peter's Episcopal Church is actually holding 3 sessions (April 7th, 14th and 21st, 7 pm) to "prepare" their congregation for the Ehrman lectures - don't know what that will cover.....
