Buying groups, Membership trimming, and Raw Almonds

From: Harlan Sparer, DC 4.

Recently, I had a few conversations about a buying group.  When I order next, if someone would act as the cashier to count and receive money and distribute orders, I would be happy to include anyone that wishes on my order.

I just trimmed the membership by about 20 peeps.  These were people who haven't visited our group in almost a year.  Thanks for being a member of this dynamic group!

I recently received an e-mail from Kristen Taylor which I am cutting and pasting here about obtaining Raw Almonds.

Dearest Juicy Ones!

Thank you for your patience with our almond bulk order ~ it WILL be worth our wait. For those of you that know how an annual almond harvest works, you understand this delay already. However, it doesn't make it any easier to wait, eh? Especially this year with almonds coming off the trees AN ENTIRE MONTH BEHIND SCHEDULE due to climate/weather conditions!

The farms that we are speaking with have never seen the harvest happening this late before. This was unforeseen or we would have informed everyone before they reserved their orders so we could all know what to expect for arrival times. Rest assured, we ordered plenty of almonds to make sure that everyone who paid gets their almonds. We will have extras but won't reserve those until they are here and in our hands.

Our order will arrive to us in four separate shipments because we ordered as our members ordered. If you were in the first group to order, you'll have first dibs. All orders will go out in the order the were received.
They are telling us that our first batch of almonds will go out within the next couple of weeks. You will be notified immediately for pickup options. If you are having us ship your almonds, you will be sent a tracking number immediately.

Please stay tuned to the meetup site where we'll be posting updates. Your patience means the world to us. When we look to mother nature for the freshest and best quality nutrition, we clearly see it is not about our schedule but a rhythm of the seasons.

We look forward to seeing you all in January.

Blessings for a joyous holiday season,

Kristen Taylor
