Come meet 2 dynamic people who can help you on your raw food journey.

Pooya Jahanshahi, Co-founder of Healthy Landscaping

Pooya will discuss the basics of growing tasty organic fruit successfully in the VA/DC/MD area climate and highlight delicious varieties for compact container gardening. Following a Q/A, he will take orders for Healthy Landscaping's nutritional fruiting plants.

Nakia Powell, Raw Chef

Nakia will demo a few raw/vegan recipes with a splash of laughter and fun. Delicious foods with flavor that will inspire and motivate you to branch out and try new things. Items will be available for purchase after the demos and orders will be taken for further enjoyment!!

$10 per person covers both presentations and food.
Additional food items available for purchase afterwards.

    Such a fantastic turn out and event guys (mostly from the Raw Nova Meetup group but hopefully will meet some more members from here next time too)! I was so happy to see so many people excited about growing their own fruit :). Looking forward to future events and great collaborations like this.

    By the way, everyone will be able to check out Healthy Landscaping's Asian pears ripening in the ground in Amy's yard. I'll also run a fruit identification game at the end for a Healthy Landscaping gift certificate for any winners :).
