Introduction
We are vegans and attempting to go to mostly raw. We think the key is raw recipes and the support of other like-minded folks. We hope that members emailing back and forth will reinforce our resolve.
What motivates you to try the raw lifestyle?
We beat the cancer back in 2004, but we feel eating processed foods - even though we went vegan - led to a second bout. So, we're dedicated now to totally raw. What a coincidence that we joined this raw food group and now the battle is real.
Are you already raw? If so, in what areas do you need support?
We have been trying to go totally raw, and think we finally made it on May 13, 2009. That's when Joyce's ultrasound exam showed two suspicious spots in her breast. It turned out Joyce has breast cancer again, exactly 5 years after the first time.
