Here is a special opportunity for members of the Des Moines Raw Food MeetUp Group! Your Organizer, Sheree Clark, has been invited to speak to a nutrition class at DMACC on Tuesday, November 25 and the school has graciously agreed to let a limited number of our group attend as guests! (NOTE: This is a reschedule of the October presentation Sheree was to give: she pulled a muscle in her back and the class watched some raw food videos instead)
Sheree will be giving a talk she calls “RAW FOOD 101,” which will cover such topics as: Why go raw, what exactly is the raw food lifestyle, what do you need to go raw, why eat organic food and more. There will also be time for questions and answers AND (of course!) yummy samples!
BRING: $5 to cover the cost of the samples, and a notebook or paper so you can take notes! (This meeting will not be a potluck like our regular meetings, so you do not need to bring a dish.) Note that space is very limited since we are guests and this is a classroom situation.
When: 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 25, 2008
Where: Des Moines Area Community College, Ankeny, Iowa (Go to the demonstration classroom in Building 7 at DMACC)
As always, if you RSVP yes, but your plans subsequently change, we ask you to change your RSVP on this site.
***ONE MORE THING (because I am trying to avoid sending you a jillion emails): On SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 22 at 4:00 p.m. the VARSITY THEATER will host a screening of the file FOOD MATTERS. I have seen the movie and I can say it is worth your time (and the $5 charge) to watch it. The movie covers the true cause of disease and shows how effective nutritional therapy can be in fighting serious illness. I highly recommend it!****
