Raw Food 101: Eating Without Heating

  • Apr 13, 2013 · 9:30 AM
  • Bolton & Hay

This is a demonstration class and will cover a variety of dishes—most of which will be fast and easy to make. We’ll also go over how to use equipment, where to find ingredients and how to plan your raw food menu.

In RAW FOOD 101 you will learn:

• How to make non-dairy nut and seed milks
• How to prepare delicious, easy meals that will impress even picky eaters
• How to turn nuts and seeds into protein rich pâtés
• How to make snacks that you can eat without guilt
• How to create desserts to satisfy any sweet tooth

Class size is limited: please register early.

When: April 13, 2013

Time: 4-hour class: 9:30 a.m.— 1:30 p.m.

Where: Bolton & Hay

2701 Delaware Avenue

Des Moines

Cost: Tuition is $99. Payment is due at time of registration to ensure space. If you choose not to use PayPal, please send your check, payable to Fork in the Road, to: 4028 Ovid Avenue, Des Moines, IA 50310. If you want to pay another way, send an email to [masked] and we’ll get you fixed up!

As always, if you RSVP yes, but your plans subsequently change, we ask you to change your RSVP on this site so we can have an accurate count. (Although we cannot offer refunds, you can certainly send someone else in your place!)

NOTE: Bolton & Hay sells restaurant equipment and supplies to the wholesale trade, but is also open to the public. You can buy knives, storage containers and a variety of other useful things there. On Saturdays, they are open from 9:00 a.m. until noon. We suggest you come early for class (9:00 would give you enough time) so you can check out what they have before the class gets started.

Hi, I live in Fairfield but would like to be plugged into your raw food events. I do come to Des Moines from time to time.
